Before you start
Is palm reading real?
No, not in the sense of predicting anything. Palmistry has no demonstrated predictive validity, we say so on every page, and we publish the strongest argument against it in our own journal. What we sell is a specific, structured, honestly-sourced piece of writing about your own hand. As a prompt for thinking about yourself it earns its price. As a forecast it is worth nothing, and we will not sell it to you as one.
What makes this different from every other palm reading site?
The record layer. Before a word of interpretation, your reading lists the physical features of your hand with a verdict on each — clear, partial, or not visible in this photograph. Then every interpretation names the feature it came from, and the directed section labels each piece of evidence as coming from your hand or from something you told us. Nobody else shows you which is which, because showing you is how you find out how much of a reading is cold reading.
Why do you ask me questions before the reading?
Because a reading pointed at "tell me about myself" is inevitably vaguer than one pointed at a real question. Everything you tell us is optional, and anything drawn from it is labelled as coming from you rather than from your palm — which is the opposite of how this information is normally used.
What happens to my photograph?
It is used to produce your reading, embedded into your PDF report so you keep a copy, and then deleted from our records. We do not retain palm photographs. Full detail in the privacy notice.
Do you make any health claims?
None, ever. No illness, no diagnosis, no lifespan, no mortality, no fertility. That is a hard constraint written into how every reading is generated, not a line of small print.
Can I have two hands read, or two people?
Yes to both. The Full Reading compares your two hands — traditionally what you were given against what you did with it. Two Hands, Read Together is a joint reading for two people, with no compatibility score, because compatibility scores are made up.
Can I compare a reading with one from later?
Yes, and we are honest about it: the three major creases are formed before birth and will not have changed. What can differ is the fate line, the fine minor lines, and — most of all — your camera. A second reading attributes any difference to the most boring available cause first, and is really about the same hand read against a changed year.
